It was another quiet day on the old commute until a late crash after 8 o’clock. The crash was on SB I-25 near 84th and since they blocked the left lane for 30 minutes traffic didn’t recover until after 9. Everything else was standard, heavy and slow around town.

Kipling will be closed tonight between Colfax and 11th Ave. The closure starts at 9 tonight until 5:30 Friday morning. They are pouring the concrete deck for the light rail bridge that will take trains over Kipling. You can use Simms or Wadsworth as good alternates as the neighbors get very upset with people cutting through their neighborhood.

It was another quiet start to the drive then as we’ve seen in the past, blamo. We had a big crash on SB I-25 at 120th then one SB I-25 after 6th Ave and then the last one SB I-25 at Colfax with a motorcycle. All 3 crashes added to the heavier than normal traffic from the north side and it even slowed down the NB side out of TREX for a while as well. Everything else was back to normal by 9 o’clock.

Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Tuesday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:47 am

We started off the morning with a rollover crash on Jewell at E-470 that delayed a few folks out east. Then the rush started for everyone else with some heavy traffic here and there. It wasn’t until after 8 that we had a couple of crashes down south. The first was a motorcycle crash on NB I-25 before Lincoln Ave and the other was on NB I-25 at Dry Creek. The double whammy made for a slow Tech Center drive. Then there was a late crash on EB C-470 near Quebec that kept the Highlands Ranch commute slow to after 9am. Let’s hope for a better one on Wednesday.
