The drive started off very quiet on the freeways but then turned hot with a fire in grass bales on 112th at Madison. The fire was a tough one for fire fighters to put out and 112th was closed west of Colorado Blvd. The other big issue was some debris on SB I-25 near Alameda. It was slowing traffic across downtown all morning on I-25 and on EB 6th Ave back to Wadsworth. The stuff was picked up a little before 8:30 but it still took a while before traffic was back to normal. We had a late crash on WB I-70 before York that blocked two of the 3 lanes. Traffic was backed up in both directions well into the 9 o’clock hour.
