Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Thursday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:40 am

The biggest problem early was the sun glare and then came the crashes. The first was in Brighton on SB Highway 85 near Bromley Lane. The crash blocked the left lane for nearly and hour backing up traffic badly. Then we had several crashes on SB I-25. The first was at 20th then in the backups we had crashes at 50th, and I-76th. At the same time we had a crash on SB I-225 near Yosemite. All made for a very tough commute into work.

There were a bunch of side street crashes as well including 108th and Wadsworth, Alameda at I-25, Belleview and Clarkson, Tower and 32nd, 44th and Sheridan and Colfax at I-225. All caused some delay this morning.

Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Wednesday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:37 am

The morning started off with some water work on Federal over 6th Ave. Only one lane was open both directions all morning long. Then at around 6:45 a grate of some sort fell off a vehicle and landed on EB 6th at Federal in the center lane. A nice lady stopped and pulled it off to the shoulder and traffic was soon back to normal. The biggest problem late was the crash and grass fire on WB I-70 at Quebec. There was a left lane crash and a small grass fire in the same spot. Both problems made for a tough commute on the east side. The late commute was problem free but still slow from the earlier problems.

Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Tuesday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:42 am

The biggest traffic story today was a news story as well. Shortly after 5 there was a fire in a strip mall off Alameda and Havana. Alameda was closed between Ironton and Moline for over an hour and drivers had to scramble through the neighborhood to get around it. Other from that it was very quiet with very few problems on or off the highway.

The closure that was scheduled for last week has been rescheduled for tonight. Kipling between 11th and Colfax will close tonight at 9 until 5 tomorrow morning. They are pouring the bridge deck for the light rail bridge that will eventually take the trains to Golden.

Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Monday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:56 am

The drive started out with emergency concrete repair on NB Parker Road at Belleview. The heat apparently heaved the road up and CDOT had to close all but one lane so they could fix the road. Shortly after 6 a motorcyclist lost control and crashed on SB I-225 before Iliff. The highway was closed for a little while and then one lane opened but traffic was backed up to I-225 for most of the 6 and 7 o’clock hour. We also had crashes on WB I-70 after Quebec and a nasty one on EB 6th Ave at Federal. It felt like a Monday and the drive was terrible.

Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Friday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:53 am

This has been a very good day on the roads. Less than 10 accidents all morning and none of them were too major here in the metro area. The worst one was on Highway 85 near Highway 60 in Weld County.

There is a big construction project staring on Monday in Aurora. I’ll have the details then starting at 5am.
