Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Friday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:39 am

It was another fairly quiet day in town. We had I-70 over Vail pass closed down early this morning because of stuck vehicles on the highway. Traffic in and around Boulder was heavier than normal with graduation at CU.

On Sunday, May 11th, CDOT will begin a second paving project on I-25. This project will rotomill and pave nearly two miles of I-25 between Santa Fe Drive and 6th Avenue.

Expect single lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with a second lane possibly closing at 11 p.m. Major delays are expected throughout the project and alternate routes are strongly advised.
You should also be aware that CDOT has another active project on I-25 between 23rd Avenue and 48th Avenue. This project resurfaces I-25 in asphalt and requires single lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and double lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. This project is scheduled to be complete in early to mid-August 2008.
