Jayson’s Traffic Summary for Wednesday

Filed under: Uncategorized — jayson luber @ 8:47 am

Crash, boom, bang! No it wasn’t accidents but the metro area thunderstorms that made for a horrible drive to work. The rain turned into heavy downpours and that flooded out highways and side streets. The ramp from NB I-25 to WB 6th Ave was closed. The ramp from SB I-25 to Colfax was closed and the ramp from I-25 to Auraria Parkway was closed. High water closed lanes on I-25 at Colfax, US 36 at Church Ranch and many side streets in Downtown Denver. Traffic was much slower than normal and slow later than normal all morning.

There was also a situation with a stray dog on the highway. It was in the HOV lane near 20th Street. Some drivers stopped and got the dog to come to them, they then put it in a car and drove off. I haven’t found out how the dog got there or where they took him.
