What a horrible drive it was in Douglas County. The snow made I-25 very slick and slushy. In fact the Colorado State Patrol issued the accident alert system for the interstate in Douglas County.
There were at least half a dozen accidents that snarled traffic for the morning commute. One of the worst was South Bound at the new Ridge Gate Parkway interchange south of Lincoln Ave. Another where one guy in a pickup spun out near Castle Pine Parkway and ended up 100 feet off the highway. By far the Douglas County commute was the worst in metro area.
The Tabor Street Bridge repair project over I-70 in Wheat Ridge is almost finished. CDOT has the bridge closed until the repairs are completed in the next week or so. There is a detour posted to get around it. They will move to the McIntyre Bridge over Highway 58 when they finish Tabor Street.
