The morning traffic overall was average with one exception.

North Bound I-25 was a mess after an accident involving an animal on the highway. The wreck blocked the left side of the highway for an hour and backed up traffic to Castle Rock. There were radio reports that claimed several juisdictions were fighting over who’s mess it was to clean up adding to the traffic delay but I was never able to confirm that.

The Cherry Creek Dam Road will be closing down for 5 days as crews from Aurora, Arapahoe County and the US Army Corps of Engineers survey and perform maintenance work. The road will close Saturday morning at 6 a.m. April 19th and remain closed until Wednesday April 23rd. You can use I-225 or Parker Road as an alternate.
