Tears of Joy
I can’t begin to thank each and every one of you for all your thoughts, prayers and advice. Pregnancy really is an amazing thing! The closer I get to delivering my two little girls, the more attached I become to them. I cannot wait to hold them and see what and who they look like. In fact, I get so excited (or maybe it’s that I am hormonal) I almost cry every time I think of the actual delivery and holding my girls for the first time.
Me too! and Sharon
Dayle, I remember those feelings before Eloise was born! It’s amazing that you can be so in love before you’ve ever met them. Your girls are so blessed to have you as a Mommy. You’re going to do a great job with them! Enjoy all the little moments, they go so fast.
Hi Dayle!
We are neighbors, well when you are at work we are. You are going to be a fantastic mother, don’t worry you will start nesting your home before those precious little girls arrive. How exciting two babies~you are going to have so much fun dressing them up! The time goes so fast, and they will be grown up before you know it. Enjoy every single moment you can with them, and take lots of pictures! When they are older and you look at them when they were babies it just melts your heart. If you can video record them, that is even better. Good Luck in everything, and get as much sleep as you can now, it will “Lack there of” when the girlies are here. Take care, and God Bless you, your Husband and the babies!

Hi Dayle,
I have twin boys (who are now 3)…..they were born at 32 weeks and were very small. Now they are very rowdy and energetic boys. They were my first and I was terrified….but I found out that your “mommy sense” just kicks in and somehow you know just what to do. It’s very hard but the love you feel crushes the tough times and you know you were meant to be a mom. You are very blessed and will be a terrific mom…..and if you need any help or advice….there are over 100 of us in Darling Doubles, a twin club. God Bless and ENJOY!!!!
Terrie
Hi Dayle
I too recommend finding your local twins club - Darling Doubles is Westminster, Arvada and Broomfield area. Some of the wonderful ladies in this club saved me as I went through those first months and years. They are a wonderful support group. You will do great. Twins are so fun, my boy/girl twins are now 7 1/2 and I can’t image life any different. You are in for the rollercoaster ride of your life but you will love it!
Hi Dayle ~
i know as the time gets closer you get filled with more anticipation and maybe even a little anxiety. i’m so excited for you at this time in your life …. two precious bundles of joy and laughter are waiting to meet you and your husband … i can’t wait until you post pictures!!
congratulations!
Dayle,
What an amazing feeling!!!!
We turned our TV off for the summer, and I just stumbled across this blog the other day. I think that’s great you are journaling your pregnancy and making these memories! Enjoy your pregnancy as it comes to an end, and relish the feeling of those kicks inside. And get your rest!!!!! lol I have 4 kids under 5 years old, so I’m pretty busy, but I can’t imagine having twins!
Congratulations Dayle, and hope your delivery goes smooth!
Congrats to you and Darrin!!! Can’t wait to meet the girls!!!
Dayle…..My twins are 19 months old and I STILL get teary eyed when I look at them and think of what an awesome miracle they are and how much my life has been blessed. It’s a feeling you can’t explain till you actually have them. Noone but a mother can understand. It will be hard and stressful at times but the payback is is so much greater you will forget about the stress.
Dear Dayle,
Cherish the excitement and the joy and it will last you all your days! Best wishes for an easy delivery and a speedy recovery. Thank you for sharing so candidly and providing a forum for the rest of us.
One final bit of advice:
I was a wreck after my first child was born–so nervous without having had any experience with babies before her. The first days in the hospital were exhausting because of my anxieties until a veteran nurse told me the following: I already knew this baby better than anyone in the universe because I had just carried her for nine months. I had met her a long time ago and I knew what was best for her, so I should not let the various opinions of the nurses sway me so violently, but should use my “mommy sense” to make a decision and stick with it confidently. After I received this pearl, it was smooth sailing!
Best wishes!
Hi Dayle,It’s getting close to D DAY now…..Hope you are hanging in there with this heat……Good luck on a smooth delivery and I can’t wait to see your little ones.Or at least hear the anouncement of their births.
