Week 28

Week 28

I cannot believe I have been pregnant for 28 weeks.  In some ways it seems like it has flown by and in other ways, these past few months have seemed like an eternity.

Everyone told me one day I would wake up and realize the babies are almost here and feel the overwhelming need to get everything in the house ready for their arrival.  That day has come!

With that being said, I still have done nothing to the nursery (it is still our office–and that means a whole lot of work is still needed). We have not decided upon any names (although we have three names that we like).

I have registered though!!!  That is a first step, right?

    You are never ready.

Here is an interesting story on twins.

You have three names? Obviously you’re not having enough kids.

When we had Peter, we didn’t know whether we were having a boy or a girl. We had picked out the name Peter a long time before, but we could never come up with the right girl name. It came down to the wire before we had a name for a girl.

And then we had a boy.

Are we sharing the girl name? No. We may still need that someday.

But then we’ll have to come up with another boy name.

    Oh well.

Hang in there - I was put on bedrest - strict bedrest at week 27 with premature labor and had my twins just shy of 32 weeks. My husband had to finish the nursery since I was on bedrest and I did a lot of on-line ordering. Everything turned out fine and my boys are turning 5 next week! Take it easy, one step at a time, it will all come together, not always like you planned, but it will! Remember, take care of yourself and those girls, every day you can keep your babies inside is worth 3 days in the NICU. As for names, we did have them picked out in time, but we did have fun trying to name twins, my favorite joke names were Frank and Stein!
    Doubly blessed in Evergreen!

Aw, well just think, you won’t have to agonize about labor pains and you get to see those 2 beauties sooner than you thought!!! Just take it easy as much as possible…It may all seem overwhelming now, but just wait! The fun hasn’t begun yet!! lol
