Hello Moms (Dads don’t be afraid to write in)
Wow! I think it is fair to say being a parent is one of the most rewarding gifts anyone can every experience. Thank you all for writing in. I believe this blogging could be pretty fun!
To answer a few of the comments. The girls are fraternal (they have their own sacks). We are shooting for a delivery date in August and hoping to make it as close to 37 weeks as possible (37 weeks is considered full-term for twins).
As far as names are concerned, we have not decided whether we are going to tell people or wait until after they are born. Everyone seems to have their thoughts on this. Although it does seem that most people believe if you tell someone the names to say “the names are ____and ____” instead of saying “we are thinking of ___ and ____”. I guess the theory behind that is that no one would ever tell you they are bad names once you say this is what I am calling my kids.

Here is a photo of me at 22 weeks. Every week we will post a new one to show my growth. Right now I am 37 inches around. If you measure me the way they measure mom’s with one baby I am 33 centimeters (the equivalent to 33 weeks)
Congratulations Dayle,
I do have a comment about your blog page, the type is sooo small and light it is very, very hard to read. Is there any way you can use a larger font and make it bolder?
I think you should keep the names a secret until the girls are born..
Congrats Dayle,
I am a proud mother of identical twin boys. They are my true light! I got to 32 weeks w/ them and they are happy and healthy. We didn’t even want to know the sex of them but did end up having to find out due to medical reasons. We didn’t tell a soul what the names were. I dig the element of surprise.
Dayle,
Congratulations! I love the whole name game! I had “fake names” that we were thinking of calling our daughter while I was pregnant. But we kept her “real name” a secret. That way we could answer when people asked us what names we were thinking of, and it didn’t bother us if they liked them or not.
We named our daughter RYAN!
Pick strong names, it’s one of the many gifts you will give your girls.
Congrats on becoming a new mom.
I am a faternal twin, born in 1972. My mom did not know she was having twins unitl we where born. Her due date was 9/3/72 and she told her doctor no that her baby would be born on 9/5/72 and sure enough we where, we where born on my Uncles birthday.
Back in those days they did not do ultrasounds like they do now. She was on the delivery table when she heard the doctor say they needed another nurse cause it was another baby. We where full term and healthy. Throughout her pregnancy they only heard one heart beat, as well as we where birth control babies.
We had our normal sister battles, but for the most part it was not bad, it is okay once in a while to dress them the same, but my parents dressed us alike alot, as we got older they stopped that. Also pick names that are unique.
You look beautiful. Congratulations.
Happy First Mother’s Day. You are almost there so I think it is appropriate to recognize your membership in the most rewarding club ever! We love you.

Hi Dayle and Congatulations
I am the mother of fraternal twin girls - hold on for ht ride of your life. What is it with Channel 7 and multiples! They should disclose that in the job description.
Congratulations Dayle!
When I had my sons I had picked out their names and talked to them constantly using their names while pregnant… silly maybe but it was fun to stimulate them with voice and watch them move all over the place
You look absolutely wonderful! As for the names for your girls… Whatever you are comfortable with is what you should do
Wishing you the very best!!!
Hey Dayle! It’s Kristin from your Dads office! Congratulations!!! I can’t wait to meet your daughters! We need to playdate in a year or so as I am starting to try for another now.
BPA Free, I am with you and I use Born Free that you can get at Whole Foods, Baby’s R Us, and online. I did use Gerber for a while as well, but that was before I heard about the risks of certain plastics.
Hope to hear from you! You look beautiful as usual!!!
